Kristin:    00:00:00    Hi everyone. I just wanted to do a quick podcast bonus episode and update in light of the unfortunate Coronavirus outbreak and current pandemic. I know that there are a lot of changes that have happened in the past week since the last podcast. So before the next one comes out, I just wanted to pop in and acknowledge what's going on and see if anyone needs help. Of course, on our show on Badass Digital Nomads, everybody here wants to work remotely or is thinking about working remotely so that you can have more freedom and you can live and work from anywhere. But that doesn't necessarily mean that millions of people were ready to start working remotely, literally overnight, which is what happened this week. So I've been thinking about ways to help and have come up with a list of common questions that people have. I'm thinking of making some video tutorials to teach people how to use some of the most important remote work tools, and we'll kind of see how it goes.

Kristin:    00:01:07    But first, the first thing I published was a article today on LinkedIn that's also on Medium, and it is a list of all the free remote work tools that I could find. So this is all of the companies that typically have paid tools and apps and software that are allowing people to use them for free for the next few months, in some cases through the end of July. And I collected all of those tools and put them in a list. So I will link to that list in the show notes if you want to save. You could save hundreds of dollars depending on how many of the tools you want to use, but there's at least 10 or 15 different options on there. So you can check that out and there will be much more to come if you have any specific questions. If you're struggling to adapt to a new status working from home or working remotely, or if you are a manager or a team leader or executive at an organization that is struggling to implement remote work policies, then feel free to reach out and I will help in any way I can or point you in the right direction.

Kristin:    00:02:27    You can send me an email to hello@travelingwithkristin.com, that's K-R-I-S-T-I-N .com. I'll link to it in the show notes as well. And I am here to help. So before I sign off, I wanna give a few shout outs to my Patreon or Patreon Patrons who are Larry, Sean, Teklordz and Trader Walt. So the Patreon launch is live right now until the end of the month. So you have until April 1st to sign up and get a bonus video from me to get exclusive content and access to sneak peeks of the podcast and lots of other fun stuff that's gonna be on Patreon. So shout out to all my patrons and also to some of the Badass Digital Nomads listeners who have joined my Facebook group, Badass Digital Nomads, who I got to meet this week. We have Josh who says he's a big fan of the podcast, currently working at an office job as a project manager, but building out his sprinter and getting ready to literally hit the road.

Kristin:    00:03:35    He says he's passionate about travel and adventure and he thinks remote work is one of the best things happening in our generation. I definitely agree. And then we have Sida Bonita who is on her way to split Croatia at the moment. She's a big fan of the podcast and says, thank you, Kristin, for sharing. You're welcome, Sharita. Thanks for joining my group. And Janae Wright says, thank you, Kristin. I'm currently working in a nine to five in the nonprofit field and am exploring the remote world as I plan to make the move to a new state in a few months. I found your podcast, Kristin, and it has been super helpful. Love your advice and suggestions about how to make the leap. Thanks Jana for joining the group. And thank you everybody for listening and supporting the podcast. And let me know what you need help with, what you wanna hear about, what you wanna talk about this year.

Kristin:    00:04:30    We'll make it happen guys, and stay safe out there if anybody is traveling, and hopefully you're not stranded anywhere, but everyone, just stay safe, stay calm. If you're in a difficult situation right now and there's anything I can do to help, then feel free to reach out and just know that this too shall pass. Everything's going to work out and hang in there <laugh>. We'll all come out of this for the better in the end. And on a final note, the podcast with Johannes. I just found out today that the Nomad Cruise is going to be canceled, and we have our next podcast episode coming out, which might be tomorrow depending on when this episode goes live, is with Johannes, the founder of Nomad Cruise. So unfortunately, you won't be able to join the next Nomad Cruise, but the interview with Johannes is really awesome.

Kristin:    00:05:28    He shares so much amazing value and cool stories, and you'll definitely wanna put Nomad Crews on your list of things to do like as as your bucket list, right? So disregard where we talk about signing up for the Nomad Cruise because this one just got canceled, but you can still get a lot of value from his many years, decades of experience traveling the world. And as a digital nomad, he's one of the first people to start an online community for digital nomad. So there's a lot of amazing info in that and hopefully we can all go on another Nomad Cruise. Coming up, Running Remote has also been postponed until September, but they will be having what I believe will be a free virtual summit during the dates of April 20th and 21st, which is when the conference was supposed to be held in Austin. So I will keep you guys posted on those changes. Lots of things have been canceled. The co-living summit in California and April has been canceled. But um, I'll let you guys know when I get the details on any free or virtual online replacement summits that will be going on so that you can attend from anywhere in the world. All right guys, see you on the next episode and lots more coming up on Badass Digital Nomads. See you soon.
